Network devices can easily be managed with Lightweight Management Console (LMC) software. Providing simple installation and setup, LMC enables the system controller to easily control server devices and other computers in the small-scale groupware and SOHO environments. Use SNMP or WMI for device management.
The Lightweight Management Console has the following important design features:
Light
Weight
- The software does not require much in the way of system resources and is therefore ideal for device management in the small-scale network environment.
- The software can handle up to 20 devices.
Easy
to use
- The design follows Windows application standards and is easily comprehensible.
Simple
- Easy installation and setup.
- An exclusive database engine is not required. Control the xml file as a database.
Flexible
- Customization and expansion according to the user's needs.
- Expansion for multi-vendor support.
LCM provides the following functions:
Launch pad icon
- Clicking the launch pad icon allows you to quickly open the main dialog or start and stop the service.
Device status list / event notification log
- The main dialog lists the devices and their current status. It is easy to understand the state of the devices.
- All data is saved in a database in the form of an xml file. It is possible to reuse this database in other applications.
- You can customize the controlling database and its components by combining with the device type and vendor.
Distribution by email of event traps
- The trap receive service is capable of automatic forwarding by email.
- The software can also handle Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) servers and ESMTP (SMTP-AUTH CRAM-MD5)
MIB Walker
- LMC provides a user definable and expandable SNMP MIB browser.
- MIB Walker provides the necessary tools required to do detail analysis and investigation of device information and customization.
Basic operation 1: Observation of device state via data polling
Basic operation 2: Trap receiving and distribution of email
